Initial Enquiry...
The initial enquiry begins with filling out our short design form.
This includes providing contact details, dimensions, materials, budget constraints and even rough drawings or pictures of a particular design you are thinking of.
The more information you can provide here can greatly reduce the time it takes to get an initial price.
If you are unsure with anything in this step, we are more than happy to help in any way we can.
How Does The Design Process Work?
The first step in custom designing a piece of furniture is taking the information provided by the client.
For example, information in relation to the dimensions, materials, design elements and budget constraints.
From here we begin to create rough sketches on paper.
This process helps us to quickly develop an idea to then take the next step.
We then begin 3D CAD (computer-aided design) drawings.
This further helps in getting the proportions and design of the piece looking right and to the client’s specifications.
This step also aids in the joinery that will be used in constructing the piece
We then pass these drawings on to the client and from there, alterations can be made to the drawings until we have the perfect piece.
The upmost care is taken in this step to ensure the piece will not just be beautiful but also functional and built to last a lifetime.
Cost & Timeframes...
The cost can vary from piece to piece depending on the materials used and the design and complexity of the piece.
We require a 30% deposit before work commences.
Depending on current workloads, the timeframe for a piece to be completed can be anywhere from 5 to 10 weeks from the time of the initial deposit being paid.
This will be confirmed at the time of your initial inquiry.

AMERICAN BLACK WALNUT DESK
Our most recent build is this custom desk in American black walnut. The drawer faces and cupboard door are made from hard maple and have had have a hand chiseled texture applied.
EBONIZED WHITE OAK & TASMAINIAN BLACKWOOD DESK
A simple yet elegant desk measuring in at 1800mm X 700mm. Both desks feature a full depth file hanging drawer. Brass drawer pulls was also incorporated in the design to add a nice contrast against the timber.
OFFICE WORKSTATION
This was a 4 metre by 1.2 metre table created for a local business. The top was made for Spotted Gum and the base was steel painted Matt Black. This table was designed to be used with a team of people with custom cable holes in the centre of the table to allow for computer cables.
